I am a certified 7th-12th grade math teacher.  After 6 years in the classroom, I made the switch to tutoring math full time.  I have experience teaching every level of middle and high school math, from 6th grade and pre-algebra, to pre-calculus and AP calc. I also offer test prep and tutoring in a number of other subjects.

As a former teacher, I will work closely with your child's math teacher to ensure my teaching aligns with their coursework. I have experience with differentiated instruction, scaffolded teaching, and supporting students with diverse learning needs-- including personal experience:  In middle school, I struggling with Algebra. Math stopped clicking until my senior year of high school, when my teacher didn’t just teach the content but showed me how to learn math properly. Now, I use my own toolbox of strategies and frameworks to help students 'learn how to learn' so they don’t go through the same frustrations that I experienced. But I do understand exactly what it feels like to be completely lost in the content, and can help your child get back on track and recover their confidence.
